2025 Conference Scholarships for Pre-Law Advisors
PCAPLA will provide scholarships ranging from $150 up to $550 to a limited number of pre-law advisors who, without assistance, would not be able to attend the June 2 – 4, 2025 conference. A $325 scholarship will cover the cost of the conference early bird registration. PCAPLA PLAs and PLAs outside of California can request up to $550 to account for higher travel or housing costs. Please note that PCPLA scholarship funds cannot be used for housing other that at the conference hotel. On the application, you will have to justify your request. If you apply for a PCAPLA scholarship, please do not register for the conference until you receive a decision about your scholarship application. Scholarships are being awarded on a rolling basis. While the majority of scholarships will go to PCAPLA members, there will be limited scholarships for members of other APLAs. FYI and budget planning needs, your parking at the conference hotel is included for participants reserving accommodations at the conference hotel.
Potential scholarship recipients do not need to be current PCAPLA member in order to apply. However, scholarship recipients are required to pay the $50 PCAPLA yearly membership fee in order to receive the grant (You would do this after being notified you were awarded a scholarship). Pre-law advisors may join more than one APLA including APLAs outside of their region. ADDITIONALLY, if you choose not to use your LSAC scholarship to attend your regional conference, they may allow you to transfer this funding to attend the PCAPLA conference.
