2015 PCAPLA Conference Session Proposals

The majority of our conference sessions have already been selected, however, there is still the opportunity for a few other sessions to be added.  Proposals may be presented by pre-law advisors from all APLAs and from law school admissions representatives between January 28 - February 28, 2015.

The conference committee will review all new submissions on a rolling basis and finalize the conference by March 6.

To propose a panel or presentation, please complete the proposal form.

You may review last year's conference panels at the 2014 PCAPLA Conference Schedule.  To get a sense of what has been presented at other 2014 APLA conference schedules, please see the MAPLA Conference Schedule, the
NAPLA Conference Schedule.docx, the SAPLA/SWAPLA Conference Schedule.pdf, and the WAPLA Conference Schedule.pdf.

Selection Criteria
  • Preference will be given to pre-law advisers from the PCAPLA region, but other APLA pre-law advisors are welcome to submit proposals.
  • Presenters should plan to present only once during the course of the conference.
  • All presenters must register for the conference.

The best presentations will...
  • actively engage the audience.
  • leave 20 minutes for Q&A.
  • have a visual component (Power Point, Video).
  • begin and end on time.
  • be well-rehearsed.
  • convey the presenters' enthusiasm for the topic.
  • include a handout with the presenters' contact information, a summary, and links to additional resources.
  • be made available in .pdf form on the PCAPLA website.
